Teaching Philosophy

As a music educator, my teaching philosophy is rooted in principles of inclusion and equity, social emotional learning, and accessibility in the classroom. My ultimate goals are for my students to feel valued, empowered, and confident. I believe that innovative approaches to music education such as modern band and music technology are vital to a successful music class. I strive to create an environment where each student can discover the joy of making music together.
